Presenters: Dr. Steven Lee and Ms. Bethany Williams This talk will be pre-recorded and presented digitally. Instructions will be sent to all ticketholders. On November 27, 1833, thousands of meteors showered the sky of North America. It appeared as though the stars were falling out of the heavens, and the spectacular event was recorded in newspapers, artwork, and Lakota winter counts. Join Ms. Bethany Williams and Dr. Steve Lee as they describe and celebrate this natural phenomenon (today known as the Leonid Meteor Shower) from scientific and cultural perspectives.
